BRIDGING THE GAP BETWEEN INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS AND CAMPUS SUPPORT

01.
Listen: STudent Survey
The Cultural Adaptation Workshops facilitate smooth transitions for international students by addressing cultural nuances and expectations. They provide engaging sessions that empower students to navigate their new environment with confidence, fostering a sense of belonging and enhancing academic success.

02.
understand: review the findings
Survey responses are reviewed to identify patterns and potential gaps between international students’ experiences, their understanding of mental health support, and the services already available on campus.

03.
Explore: staff presentation & discussion
Global Bridges presents key findings alongside cross-cultural perspectives on international student adjustment and mental health. University counseling staff, international student professionals, and other campus partners are invited to discuss what the findings may mean for their campus.

04.
listen deeper: international student conversation
A facilitated conversation gives international students an opportunity to explore themes identified through the survey and share the experiences behind their responses. The purpose is not counseling or treatment, but to listen, learn, and better understand the student perspective.

BUILDING FUTURE SOLUTIONS
Together with campus partners, Global Bridges explores culturally responsive approaches that strengthen communication, belonging, and connection to existing resources.
